Dr. Surendra Pal, a space communication technologist, accomplished researcher, academician, administrator and visionary of great repute is an alumnus of Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani and Indian Institute of Science Bangalore. Dr. Pal is former : Vice Chancellor on Defence Institute of Advanced Technology,(Deemed to be University), Pune ; Prof. Satish Dhawan Professor & Senior Advisor Satellite Navigation Programme (ISRO); Distinguished Scientist, Associate Director and also Programme Director Satellite Navigation Programme at ISRO Satellite Centre Bangalore, was also President of Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers –India (2012-2014)

 

His fields of interest are - RF Communications, Space communication, Space Technology, Microwaves, Electromagnetics, Antennas, Radars, Digital Communication and Satellite Navigation (GNSS). He is recognized as an expert in these areas at international level.
